It’s starting to feel like fall! I live for foggy mornings, bonfires, pumpkin spiced lattes, cozy fall decorations, sweaters and FALL MOVIES. Our family loves curling up and watching movies together.
While your planning your fall bucket list, I wanted to share some of my favorite fall movies to get you in the spirit!
Yes, fall movies can be fun and not freak the crap out of you. The last thing I want to see before going to bed is a scary movie! It makes me want to sleep with the lights on the entire night.
Harper watched Casper for the first time and loved it! She may even watch Hocus Pocus next! I am still trying to decide if she will be too scared or not.
Here are some more family friendly fall movie ideas! Let me know what you think. These are all so good. It was hard to pick an absolute favorite, but out of all of these RUNAWAY BRIDE & PRACTICAL MAGIC!
I was also going to add Hope Floats but I feel like it’s more of a springish movie.
My mom and I used to watch Practical Magic and Runaway Bride together all the time. It will always be my absolute favorites. We knew every single word! Like taking a knitting needle to bed! haha!

I haven’t seen most of these! Will have to check them out! Runaway Bride is always good. Used to be a favorite of mine growing up too! ❤️ My kiddos love Curious George’s Halloween, It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and Charlie Brown’s Thanksgiving. Definitely for younger kiddos, but fun.

Stepmom is such a great film! It’s just so special with the different family dynamic. Very accurately depicted and with such genuineness in my opinion. I love how its set in NYC (where I live). That huge Loft Apartment in the movie is a dream! It’s always a good watch. I have not seen Runaway Bride (fully), which is crazy, because I love Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in Pretty Woman. They had such good chemistry. I was thinking about this movie yesterday, so I guess that means I should watch it. I only remember seeing a clip of it when she’s on a horse running away. 😆 I haven’t seen Casper since probably childhood. I also want to check this out again as well now. I’d recommend checking out Harriet The Spy (with Michelle Trachtenberg) . I think it would be a good Fall Film for both you and Harper to watch. I love it and haven’t seen it in forever. I definitely need to add it to my DVD collection.
