It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
And it’s not too late to start some traditions for your family this year.
Although Christmas is almost upon us, it’s not too late to pick up a few new traditions that you can do every year with your family. Here are a few things that could make this Christmas and the ones to follow it memories you will never forget.
+ Buy some fresh greenery.
We all love the ease of the fake greenery and garlands we use in our homes, but there is just nothing like the smell of fresh cut garland hanging around your home. Sure, it may be more to clean up but in my opinion it’s totally worth it! Go grab some fresh garland and hang it on your door step. You won’t regret it!
+ Decorating the tree.
This one carries some of my most special memories. It is always so fun to unpack all of the ornaments and have a dedicated night for tree decorating. Playing Christmas music and baking cookies while hanging the ornaments on the tree certainly aren’t bad ideas to add to this night either.
+ Matching family pajamas on Christmas Eve.
This one is fun for this kids and the adults. Wrap up a matching pair of Christmas pajamas for each members of your family and let them open it on Christmas Eve. Then you all wear them to bed and wake up in them on Christmas morning. Christmas morning is special- might as well dress for the event!
+ Gingerbread house and candy making night.
Just do this. Go to the store and grab some gingerbread houses and get on Pinterest for some Christmas candy recipes and get to work! You’ll thank me late for how wonderful the house will smell. I also have some Christmas recipes here (best blueberry coffee cake ever and Christmas tree brownies here.
Drive around and look at Christmas lights.
This one is easy and doesn’t take much planning. Just jump in the car and go. No one can be a Scrooge while looking at beautiful Christmas lights.
Christmas is truly the most magical time of the year and I hope that each of you spend it being present with your loved ones and experience true joy and love this Holiday season.
Love,
Sarah
