Well hey there!! It’s been a while since I wrote you all last and believe me, we have been busy. There is so much going on and I can’t wait to share it all with you soon. I have several clients right now and am trying to get their homes done and hope to share that soon too! One thing I have been SUPER excited to share is our trip to California!! I have always dreamed about seeing California some day and can’t believe it finally happened!
Cali is more beautiful than I ever imagined. Harper and I were pretty speechless getting off the plane. It was stunning. Palm trees lined the streets and there were huge flowers everywhere. We spent the majority of our time in Coronado Island, outside of San Diego. There is a lot to do there and it was easier for us girls to just hang on the island!
Our ROOM at LOEWS
We stayed at Loews Coronado Bay Resort! You guys, this place was unreal. The employees were incredibly kind and helpful and the Resort was super clean. Honestly, you could not ask for a nicer staff. There was a huge conference going on but the place was so roomy you didn’t even notice! We never got tired of the food, which is extremely rare. Usually we go to hotels and the food all tastes the same after a while. Our view was of the beautiful Bay that fills up with boats at night and we even got a fireworks show!
What I loved most about Loews was how accommodating they were to children and had all kinds of events to keep them having fun! There were s’more nights, game days and treasure hunts! Another thing we loved were the large golf carts that take you to the beach! When you arrive there are chairs, sand toys and umbrellas! That was huge considering we didn’t have to worry about anything but sunscreen and our beach bag! They also have so many pools and hot tubs to choose from!! I am talking, THREE large pools and TWO large hot tubs. They have a big outside bar and all kinds of yummy food!
Speaking of yummy food! These chocolate desert tacos were unreal! They delivered them to our room and we were in heaven! I need the recipe stat!
Somebody even got cookies and milk in bed! She was pretty happy about that.
THE POOLS at LOEWS
We spent a lot of time at the pool. Look how beautiful it is there…
She looked forward to the bakery daily!
Our favorite part was riding the hotel shuttle to Coronado Island downtown. Harper was just giddy to get to ride the shuttle! That is all she talked about! haha! Coronado Island is GORGEOUS! The houses were insanely beautiful and the beach was just stunning. We watched every sunset together and just took it all in. You have to go to Del Coronado Hotel and just shop it up and feed your face too!
more loews resort scenes…
This was our view walking through the hallway to our room! I mean…
some of our favorite restaurants:
Brigantine Seafood Restaurant (Blackened Sonoran Spiced Ahi Sashimi & Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes)
Crown Landing (inside Loews Resort, brunch anything & Pan Roasted Salmon, pizza by the pool is a must and their bakery is unreal)
Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill (Rock Lobster Tail)
Yummy Sushi (Sunset Roll)
ENO Pizzeria & Wine Bar (Margherita Pizza)
MOO TIME Creamery (chocolate covered anything, we tried it a few times and it was amazing!)
Coronado Island
We are already making plans to come back in December. Locals were telling us how they decorate everything on the island for Christmas and have an epic ice skating rink near downtown! We are going to have to see that. This was an amazing experience and took us out of our comfort zone but in a good way. Harper still talks about it and wants to go back. You really must see it for yourself!
Thank you for stopping by and following our blog! I would love to hear your favorite parts of Cali and recommendations for our next trip! Have an amazing day!!
We are posting some home updates very soon!
XOXO,

We live about 2 hrs north of Coronado and stay there every Memorial Weekend.
It’s simply the best! So many wonderful memories. I’m so glad you were able to experience it. Such a blessing!!!

So fun to hear your vacation story. I am a Cali girl born and raised in San Diego. We staycationed at Loews Coronado and I didn’t know about the shuttle to the beach. You have helped me remember how amazing it was and we must go back! The shopping at The Hotel Del is great and the candy store is a fav. I was married in Coronado at the Episcopalian Church it’s a show stopper. It’s fun to head to the other end too by Glorrietta Bay and take the Ferry across to Sea Port Village. We love to ride bikes there as well. People rave about the San Diego Zoo and Sea World. We love our city, glad you enjoyed it. All our beach communities are amazing.
