It’s been a while since my last blog post! I never meant to go this long without blogging but this last month has just flown by. That being said, I’m back and ready to share our fall front porch with y’all! We get so many questions about our outdoor furniture and how we take care of everything. This is actually one of our top 3 questions we get.
Living on a farm/ around a farm can sure make a porch dirty. I am talking bugs, dirt, pollen, leaves…you name it. Many people don’t realize just how dirty it gets. I like to keep the porch swept and mopped. If it gets super dirty, I have to mop it twice and sometimes even pressure wash it. Staining our porch with multiple coats has helped preserve the wood floors and cleaning easier.
When it comes to our gorgeous sofas from Arhaus, we decided to get the Spinnaker Outdoor Sofas. These sofas are designed to resist the elements and suitable for year round use. Fun fact: these are so dang durable that they are made from marine grade plywood, the same wood used to build boats!! Can you believe that?! They are mold and mildew resistant, which is huge. I won’t name any names but I have some outdoor furniture from some other companies that molded bad after a year. The cushions are also completely sealed with water-repellent covering to enhance cushion strength and longevity.
You can actually spot clean these with soap and water. They are super easy to clean and extremely durable. I love how soft they are and how clean they stay. You don’t have to worry about them being outside and having parties either. The covers are fantastic because you can just machine wash them!!
We decided to take it a step further and purchase the covers as well. The main reason for this is because of us living in a farmhouse with animals. I have an outdoor cat and it sheds like crazy. I didn’t want these beautiful white sofas covered in black and brown cat hair! haha!! We also have a lot of stray dogs come up onto our porch too. They even get on our swing bed. They clip at the bottom, which is so convenient and helps the cover stay on and never blowing away. :))
The sofas and covers are honestly the best outdoor furniture we have ever owned. I would highly recommend Arhaus outdoor furniture to everyone!
