Bathroom Tile Made Easy

September 18, 2020

Well, we have been staying home for about the last 6 months and figured now is a better time than ever, to start doing some easy updates on our home. Orvil and I have wanted to build onto the house, but we decided to hold off for a little while and do some updates for the time being. The bathroom floor was first on my list and I am so happy with how it turned out. We partnered with Home Depot on their new QuicTile by Daltile flooring for this project.

This is the before!

The idea behind QuicTile by Daltile is that it’s actually real porcelain tile and can be installed in one day.

There are 3 steps:

1. Lay QuickPrep underlayment.

2. Click.

3. Use QuicTile grout and you are done!

So this tile is pretty amazing because you can install it over your existing floors. There is no demo (unless you actually choose to) no mortar and no mess!

Let’s go over the style I went with – Calacatta Marble Polished Porcelain

It’s timeless and beautiful, almost like a painting. Honestly, if we could tile the walls in this I would too. It’s that good. The colors are so beautiful and make me happy every time I enter the room. They are super high quality and freshened up our space big time.

For reference the TILE SKU is 312597904 and here is the LINK.

The GROUT MODEL SKU is 9999575238 and here is the LINK.

Orvil was really surprised with how easy it came together. He had never worked with porcelain tile before and was a little nervous but once he got started it all came together easily!! We are all so happy with taking a chance and transforming this space!

Next time we want to use the Panda Marble. It’s gorgeous and there are so many styles to choose from. We saved a lot of money and time so we will definitely be using it again. Please tag us in your pictures and your stories when you do this easy DIY! We would love to see it and BIG thank you to Home Depot + QuicTile by Daltile for making this possible!

P.s. There is also an IGTV of this project on my Instagram.

Your bathroom looks amazing but I didn’t see the link for your new shower curtain. Could you please share? You have a beautiful home and family and are truly blessed. 😊

It looks great! Please keep us updated on durability, as I have concerns it will shift and crack over time, but hoping I’m wrong. It would be great after 6-9 months to revisit allowing for expansion and contraction with changing of seasons.
