last night my baby said “don’t be sad mama. I’ll hold you like a baby and wipe your tears with my blanket. I love you forever and again.” My heart may burst. She truly is an angel.
I am the richest woman alive with this sweet baby girl by my side. ❤️❤️❤️
I’m going to be completely honest…
Well….
I haven’t quite balanced this work/life/art/single mom thing yet!!
I wanted to let you all know why I haven’t painted in a while.
I started my first major job since having Harper a couple months ago with a utilities company! I’m their Communucations Coordinator! I love it. I have a degree in Communication Studies from UT! I love Marketing so much. I’m blessed to be able to do what I love. It’s just hard because I’m trying to balance it all! I haven’t painted for the last couple months because my life has been a little wild lately! I’m going to make more time in the evening. I wake up super early and go to bed super late. I try to squeeze as much time with Harper as I can in the morning and after work, limiting my phone time and we don’t watch tv.
It’s strange to go so long without painting! I miss it and am getting back to it this weekend. My major passions have always been painting, helping others and decorating!
I have been saving up for a house, hoping to move soon and have been decorating it in my head for the last few months 😂. I can’t wait to really show you all of it!
Do you have any tips for this working mama? How do you balance everything? My go to is coffee, music and big prayers! I want to work hard at everything I do and help others in the process! I want to make my baby proud.
Now it’s time for the fun stuff!!
31bits.com ❤️❤️❤️
You are getting the first sneak peak of their fall collection! (Stay tuned for the next necklace I share on Instagram very soon!) These pieces are handmade by over 170 women in Uganda and part of your purchases goes to help them in amazing and empowering ways. It takes them out of poverty and gives them an education!! That is a huge blessing in itself.
We hope you check out @31bits and all their amazing jewelry! You won’t be sorry!
We would love to hear from you and any tips you have! Thanks for stopping by!! Have a fab night.

I’ve been single-momming it for 5 years now, so I completely get the desire to do it all and trying to do that by burning the candle at both ends. My advice…don’t. Get a good night’s sleep every night that you can, despite the fact that things are left undone – even those things that you may love. You will be more equipped to face your day, the world, and any of the hardships that being a single mom bring when you are well rested.
Honestly, sometimes it stinks because there’s so much I want to do in this life and not enough of me to go around. But I always have to remind myself that there’s a season for everything. You seem to have an amazing attitude and that’s going to get you through the tough spots.
Best wishes!
Warmly, Andrea

Hey Sarah, what a beautiful blog and then I read you are a working single mum, you are amazing!!! God bless you babe, I am praying for you. I have just started back to work this year with three kids, my husband is a pastor so he has a big role too. Like you my days are covered in prayer and dependence on God. I am trying to take it easy on myself and lower my expectations about things I can and cannot do, trying to separate the important from the icing on the cake. I am trying to be organised and systematic about when I clean, shop etc and then trying to be gracious to myself when it doesn’t go as planned, which it feels like it never does. God Bless x
