It’s been a while since I last blogged. I didn’t really mean to take such a long break from blogging. If you’re up to date watching my IG stories, you have seen a lot of behind the scenes of what is going on lately!
First, we have an 8 month old on our hands and an almost 3 year old + two 10 year olds! Where has the time gone? I cannot believe how time is flying by, as cliche as it may sound. Really though, Hank is a big 8 month old. It’s super funny when we go out in public, all eyes are on us! I get the “wow, he’s carrying you!” Or “that’s a BIG baby!” YES! I know, he’s a big boy but gosh there is so many other special things about him. For instance, he literally lights up a room with his smile. He is bubbly and happy! Smiling is his favorite and he is super mobile in a scary way! Haha! He is trying to walk already and I am honestly not mentally prepared for that. He is full of sweetness and doesn’t sleep well at night (hello exhaustion) but it is all worth it, right?!!
Birdie is our wild ginger spice. She is full of life and adventurous. When we tell her not to do something, she says WHY?! She really loves the answer YES! Birdie loves to sing at the top of her lungs and give tons of hugs. She also wants to be held a lot, which is understandable having a baby brother.
Harper is still into cheer and loving every minute of it! They just did tryouts and she’s waiting to hear what place she is in. Harper is such a sweetie and super loving. She has helped us with the little ones a lot and also loves to play with them. It is a beautiful thing.
Blake is loving soccer and track. He will be here for the summer very soon and signed up for his favorite soccer camp at UT! He looks forward to it every summer. We have a lot of fun things planned this summer. I can’t wait to share it with you.
We’ve been working on the kitchen a TON! You may have seen the reel HERE. The before pics are HERE.
Orvil has done a phenomenal job and I am sharing soon how he did everything on his own. It is unreal what this man can do and I’m so thankful!!
We plan on doing the coffee bar area next and then styling the space with a new rug and decor!
Next up, countertops. I am thinking quartz! Do you have granite or quartz? What are your thoughts? I would love to hear what you think. We would keep what we have but I feel like it sticks out like a sore thumb. It is really outdated and just super purple speckley.
Another project in the works is completing the curtains throughout the majority of the house. We have seven more windows upstairs and then two more downstairs.
I am working on my primary bathroom and guest bathroom first. They need curtains, new faucets and also hardware for the cabinets. The backsplash needs to be taken off and I would love quartz as well in those spaces.
With all the fun projects going on, summer is about to start in full force! We are taking the kids to the water park near our house for our first part of summer break and plan on going to Hilton Head around the Fourth of July! The kids want Dollywood passes and Soaky Mountain passes for sure. I try to keep them doing fun things in the summer and that happens to be the closest place to take them.
Birdie has a birthday party coming up towards the end of June and then Hank has his first birthday party in August! Still cannot wrap my mind around him turning ONE! My heart isn’t ready for this yet.
Let me know your thoughts on quartz/granite. I am sending so much love your way.
Have the best day!XO

I have quartz and I just love it!! It’s super easy to wipe down as well as keeping clean. Mine is a white quartz with a slight grey vein going through ! X

I’ve had granite and quartz. I personally prefer quartz because of the color options. They are both easy to maintain. I love following along watching you and your sweet family.
