In case you missed it, we went to Disneyworld for Harper’s cheer competition! It was such a fun trip and we were busy the entire time. The kids, Orvil, and I had a blast, there was so much to see! Definitely a must-go trip if you’re able to. Obviously there is so much to do and see, so I put together all of my best tips and products for when you go to the park (or any amusement park) so you are all set for your trip and have the BEST time!
First off, be prepared for the crowds. It was super crowded like we were walking elbow to elbow next to people, but it was definitely worth it and the kids were super excited every day! I would recommend going later in the day if you have small kids because the crowds aren’t as bad and you also won’t miss the fireworks. We LOVED Epcot for eating, they have a ton of different drinks and snacks. Magic Kingdom has always been our favorite, but Harper was obsessed with Hollywood Studios this time! Haha! She loved it. Harper also won first place at her cheer competition at ESPN and we are so incredibly proud of our baby girl!!! She has put so much work into it!
My general tips for Disney
- Bring your BEST walking shoes! Might be obvious, but you’ll do so much walking so you want to be comfortable all day. I recommend these shoes!
- It’s best to be prepared with ponchos!! You literally never know when it’s going to rain and there is nothing worse than getting stuck somewhere to stay dry or wet, complaining kids haha! These are the ponchos we used and they were great.
- Bring extra snacks like goldfish, juice boxes, anything small your little ones can snack on. It saves so much money at the park, especially if they just want something quick and easy.
- Bring sunscreen and extra clothes just in case. You never know!
- Bring a portable phone charger, I love this one (lifesaver). With how many pictures and videos we took, plus looking at maps, directions, sharing on social media, and all of the things, you’re going to need it! Especially if you’re at the park all day!
- We brought this fan for the stroller and it was amazing. Kept Birdie nice and cool and was also great for us when we got hot!
- Don’t forget water bottles!! It’s crazy how quickly we went through water! This bottle is nice and big and was perfect for the park. Especially since buying water bottles there is soooo expensive. Trust me on this one, it’s totally worth it to carry around!
- Bring a cooler!!! I used this one and it was an absolute lifesaver for milk and waters.
Things I wish we brought but didn’t
- Extra bags for dirty clothes. So easy to forget but so nice to have.
- Extra towels for the stroller and a cover (for when it rains).
- Name tag for the stroller! I wouldn’t have thought of this before going to the park! We did buy a big balloon and tied it to the stroller so that made it pretty noticeable, but next time I definitely am bringing a name tag.
- Sweatshirts or a jacket for when it gets cold at night. We forgot this and had to buy a lot of them.
More fun Disney stuff we brought
As far as stuff goes for mamas, I seriously could not go on a trip without this toiletry bag! It is the best one I’ve used and so affordable. Other than bringing the obvious essentials, I was so happy I brought my self-tanner and dry shampoo. I used them basically every day. These products are especially great if you’re short on time! Here are the specific ones I used on the trip:
We had the best trip and can’t wait to go again! It was so much fun to see the kids enjoy the park and we made so many fun family memories. Regardless of what you bring or forget, you’re going to have the best time! If you have any amusement park trips coming up I’d love to know in the comments. Until next time! Xo

Thank you so much for this list! Your account has been such an inspiration. It actually was the first “influencer” account I started following. The picture of Harper as this little toddler at the 4th of July standing on your porch. I didn’t know at the time how closely our lives would end up mirroring one another. I got divorced two years ago, had two little girls both under 5 and moved into our own home. Fast forward to now and I’m engaged, have two sweet little girls and two bonus sons. We are going to Disney in October to bring the kids and get married there! I really appreciate the time you put into this list and suggestions and I’ve taken note of everything!
