Birdie had the BEST first Birthday Party! She loved her chocolate cake and playing with her friends and trying to pull down the balloons! haha! The balloons and chocolate cake seemed to be her favorite part. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. I was worried it would thunderstorm but thankfully we had sunny skies and the kids lived it up on the water slide!
If you are looking for party ideas, rent a water slide & purchase a karaoke machine. You will be so happy that you did because it was a huge hit. Honestly, we could have just had cake and a water slide and the kids would of still been happy with just that!
Below I have added some of my favorite highlights from the birthday party and a couple throwbacks too. Hopefully they will put a BIG smile on your face.
Now for the mushy part- it is hard for me to believe that Birdie is turning ONE this Saturday. I have happy and sad feelings. She has grown super fast, faster than I can remember with Harper. Birdie is the light of our lives and a little angel baby. She has brought our two families together and given us complete happiness with every day. I was pregnant with her during a really stressful time and worried how she would be. Well, as soon as we layed eyes on her for the first time, she was healthy and ready to take on the world with those big “blueberry eyes” and firey red hair!! Gosh, God gave us just what we needed. I cannot imagine life without her. She just fit right in with our family and given Orvil complete baby fever still!! He is already wanting another baby. I have never seen a man that loves babies so much!! haha!
Birdie is so special in so many ways. I am thankful for this opportunity to be a mother again and watch her grow up and follow her dreams!! Seeing Orvil love on her is the most beautiful thing too. It’s an honor to be her mama and with tears in my eyes, watching her grow is a huge blessing in itself.
okay, back to the birthday because I can go on forever! We created the balloon arch ourselves and really had no idea what we were doing. All in all, it turned out pretty good but next time we will have to get started a day early and not a couple hours before! There are only a couple other sizes left in my jumper, so I linked some similar looks too. The tiered tray is gorgeous and I highly recommend it. 10/10 it is great for desserts, appetizers and even decorating for a year round thing! The dispenser holders came in time for the party, but the actual drink dispensers themselves did not make it until the night of the party! Which means we will just have to use them another time but had to share because they are so fun! It’s a great price point and would be pretty for any party/reception, plus photo opps.
